When I sent my non-existent cat live on chain

I just put her up for sale and here is the story…

This blog is about what I have done to send my digital cat live on the blockchain. Follow me!

1. The cat from StyleGAN2

StyleGAN2 is the state-of-the-art model I used to generate non-existent cat image. The algorithm itself was implemented on TensorFlow and I can easily try it on Google Colab. Here is the result.

2. Paint her with style transfer

I then used neural style transfer, an optimization technique used to blend 2 images together, to transfer The Great Wave off Kanagawa’s style to my cat.

Here is what happened when she faced Nami san.

I too added Japanese text for more queenly as her fur.

Now I can sell her, can’t I! Hehehe~ First, let me be on chain.

3. MetaMask | wallet

Install MetaMask for Chrome and create an account.

Just click that blue button and follow the steps.

I chose create a new wallet and seed phrase and find the way to keep my seed phrase safe… all done, start swapping! Oh, not yet…

4. Mintable | Marketplace

Mintable is where I can trade digital items (yeah, my cat) and earn crypto.

Go to Mintable and create account, then connect to MetaMask wallet.

That’s it!

5. Start selling!

Choose create a new item

I came up with gasless package (no transaction needed, no money in wallet anyway…) so my cat won’t be on chain until someone purchase her.

For pricing, I chose an auction option starting at $100 (or 0.04089 ETH) with 7 days length, just for fun.
